Toscana Model Blends Warm Architecture
With Contemporary Style
The Toscana model at Sorrento in San Michele by Sterling
Communities, designed by The Interiors Group, is a true
blend of the contemporary and Old-World styles of design.
According to Senior Designer Carmen Howe, the Toscana
model is an open, semi-eclectic design where the architectural
styles are blended. Crystal chandeliers, formal window
treatments with opulent fabrics, are combined with contemporary
finishes and accessories to create a memorable model at
this new estate neighborhood.
“The most dramatic setting in this courtyard home
is its entrance where guests are greeted by double wrought-iron
entry doors, a fountain, a swimming pool with rock waterfall
and a casual outside dining area,” she noted.
Inside, the open floor plan with oversized windows provides
an abundance of lighting and spectacular views. The soaring
ceilings, which are coffered in the living room, dining
room, master bedroom and family rooms, are enhanced by
crown molding and accent paint to provide dramatic impact.
The kitchen, designed with warm cherry cabinetry, is
complemented by a center work island, finished in a hand-painted
antique green. “It’s as if the owner of this
model found an antique and had it placed in the kitchen.
We designed it as a country kitchen, to be warm and inviting.”
Other themed rooms with faux finishes include a bedroom
with an underwater scene , created for a young son, and
a feminine floral bedroom – designed for an older
daughter.
Throughout the home, overstuffed upholstery, wood furnishings
and cabinetry in dark and light finishes are complemented
by textured fabrics and elegant accessories.
To visit, take I-95 to PGA Boulevard, exit west 1 mile
to Central Boulevard, turn right. San Michele is 2 miles

and Hood Road. Models are open daily.
San Michele, developed by Gordon Homes and Sterling Communities,
is a gated and guarded private neighborhood with only
90 estate homes, priced from $600,000s to $2 million.
